Hi Michelle,

Thanks for your kind words, great to hear you got a lot out of the Social Media Surgery.

Do not hesitate to contact any of the surgeons directly via Twitter if you need further advice. They’d all be happy to help.

Thanks for last night Chi-chi. It was great to have almost one on one with the panel, got some really useful points. Will definitely be down for the next one!

@Alex Walker:
The idea was to offer people who needed an introductory consultancy session on social media an avenue to 'try before they buy'. I also happen to know that there is a strong demand for an informal environment where people can be introduced to the basics of using social media to achieve business goals.

Doing the Surgeries outside office hours would essentially turn them into 'social media cafe-style' events: incredibly useful informal evening networking events with a slight bent towards encouraging collaboration amongst social media early adopters.

I really like the current smc_mcr format and have no desire whatsoever to replicate them. However, from what I hear anecdotally from social media ‘newbies’ they are still a little too advanced for the casual business user.

@Jon Clements:
Early morning slots would need a really strong following to get wide backing, I feel. Perhaps it may be appropriate to move the time to early morning if take up is such that most attendees prefer to attend in the morning.

Let’s give it a whirl at 1400- 1600 first...

I was loathe to suggest it last night, but an early morning slot might be considered for #mansms.

If you want to attract business people, it's a good time of day as they don't consider it eating into main business hours.

Hey guys, great to see such a fast turnaround on the surgery since smc_mcr, one question though, why 1400-1600? Wouldn't outside of office hours be best for getting people through the door?
